I wish not to believe

That, in this country today

For wearing an emblem of Heritage,

Schools can turn a student away.

As the late President Nixon wanted

To make things "Perfectly Clear",

I too wish to stress a point

To the Heritage I hold so dear.

Would we hide the American Flag

Or ban a Patriotic song

Just because some believe

The War in Vietnam was wrong?

Listen to the words of "Dixie"

And show me if you can

Discrimination towards any Race

Or malice toward any Man.

I will sing the song of "Dixie"

And my heart will fill with Pride.

I will fly the Confederate Flag in memory

Of those who fought and died.

I am an American ,

But, on this I take my Stand,

To Live and To Die in Dixie

And be Proud of my Homeland !!!
